FAQ
Sephiria — Frequently Asked Questions
The player questions we see most. Jump to the Review for the buying call.
Is Sephiria a Zelda-like or a roguelite?
It's a top-down action roguelite. Each descent randomly generates floors, enemies, and loot, with permanent Talent unlocks between runs. Combat is action-first (dash, parry, kite), not a puzzle-driven Zelda. You play a brave bunny descending a collapsing tower to save Bunnyville.
Which weapon should I start with?
Start with a greatsword-class weapon (like the Carrot Greatsword): wide sweeps hit multiple enemies, come with a small reposition, and have the highest mistake tolerance. Avoid daggers early — high burst but little defense. Prioritize attack speed; around 140% the combo feels much smoother. The game has six weapons, each with 50+ unique upgrades.
What happens when I die?
The run ends on death, but you keep the Sapphires you collected. Sapphires unlock Fate Sigils — permanent Talents that buff your stats and skills across future runs. That's the long-term power path, so learn the systems before chasing single-run speed.
Does it have co-op and crossplay?
It supports online co-op for up to 4 players — trade items, share buffs, and revive downed allies. Co-op is Steam online only; there is no cross-platform play as of the 1.0 launch, so console players can't join a PC room.
How do Artifacts and Tablets work together?
Your inventory is a buff grid: Tablets project a cross-shaped bonus zone to adjacent cells, and only Artifacts inside that zone get empowered. Cluster same-archetype Artifacts around a core Tablet rather than hoarding everything. Shrine interact points on the map refresh and grant new Tablets.
How big is the game?
There are 60+ distinct enemies, 10+ unique bosses, and a campaign spanning 6 chapters. The 1.0 launch on July 31, 2026 added the sixth and final chapter.
Will my older PC run it?
The minimum GPU is modest (GeForce GTS 750) and the whole install needs only 2 GB, but a 64-bit OS and 8 GB RAM are required. See the System Requirements page.
